It was such a pleasure being back at St Pancras Old Church on Wednesday night for the launch of Adam Barnes’ brand new record, Vacancy at Nasa, with support from Joe Hicks and Christof van der Ven. I first visited the church last November for Joe Dolman’s headline show and couldn’t wait to go back – it’s such a stunning venue!
I wish I could write some clever words about the whole evening to convey how much I enjoyed it but the truth is, I’m very bad at analysing why I love music – and I’m quite happy leaving this job to music writers. Let’s just say all three acts combined ticked all the boxes for me: stunning vocals, lush harmonies, subtle electric guitars and strings, spine-tingling horns… and a crowd made of friendly, lovely people. I hope the photos below convey just how special the evening was. 🙂
